Good Morning All, My debate is I'm going to sell my 90 Ranager XLT and it has a ticking lifter.The tick was there when I bought it IN 2005 and it been fine just a tick comes and goes. I'm sure it will deture buyers away. The truck has over 200, 000 miles but still runs and looks good. I've done alot of work to it over the years and it's not junk. Should I spend the money the rebuild the top end? And how much will it cost? I will do the labor myself. THX David

It depends on if you want to work on it or not? if looking for a newer platform to start with then sell it, if you feel attached to it and have the resources (another name for money) then just do the top end or buy a used engine but you might be getting someone else's problems if you go junk yard.
