The Johnson Ranch, BABY. Its kinda like Anthem or Sun City, a town named after a housing development. We got renamed San Tan Valley...... dumb. At the time I bought, I was 23 and it was the only thing I could afford ny myself, being 50 miles from Phoenix.
Its funny that mortagage companies only look at what you make, not what its going to cost to get to work everyday. lol
Ohh thats the truth! Never made any sense to me either! I remember my first purchase in Ca., they cared less that the vehicle I listed should have been condemed yet it was good to approve me for the mortgage! LOL! I get the commute thing though, 89 miles each way was a bit much!
Now I know where JR is! I am not really getting all this though.. You mentioned Sun City.. here is what I dont get.. I found Sun City west, and for giggles I tried finding Sun City east, with no luck! BTW: It is super easy to get lost in those old folks communities.. everything is a golf course!
I find it very strange that both the grocery stores and McDonalds have parking spots designated for golf carts.. This is not settling well with me!
I did enjoy the afternoon for a bit with come of the cloud cover! Got some more riding in, and now playing with this aweful leather foam trying to get the saddles soft again.. Icky!
After 8 days of work, I finally headed to TN last Friday to see my wife & baby. Man that was a long stretch without them, but nothing will warm my heart faster than seeing the smile on my daughter's face when she sees me. Priceless!
Today ... well, yesterday from where I am, I left TN and headed to Orlando, hoping it would warm up. Nope: rainy and chilly here. I get to head home Friday, hopefully arriving a few hours before my wife & daughter so that I can make it home, get the microvan, and head back to the airport to pick them up. It's going to be a really short weekend, though, because Monday
I'M FINALLY BACK TO WORK FULL-TIME!!!!!!! WHOOOO-HOOOOO!!!!!!
Well, ok, I am a bit sad about going back to work because we are now SHORT STAFFED (funny how people look for new jobs when you lay them off for 6+ months) which means there will be mandatory overtime this winter. At least that will help us pay off the medical bills and start saving a down payment to buy a bigger house next summer. Perhaps I'll stick with the Hyundai for awhile longer.
It's 1:40am in Orlando and I have to meet with my simulator instructor at 10am, so off to bed I go. I hope this post finds everyone doing well!
That's funny!!! Sun City, and Sun City West, no east (lol). I used to deliver state wide, and have got a pretty good mental road map of AZ. My trek daily from JR to my shop is 43 miles oneway. I'm glad I have a work truck the company pays for! Got it new Feb '08, have 97k+ on it right now!!! to bad its a ch3vy. (sorry about the bad word, tryied to disguise it)
Worked on the wiring some more today, ran out of terminals... again! Man what did I do to this poor truck when I was young?!?! Its going to be a long day tomorrow!
