Automatic locking hubs?

Automatic locking hubs?
i have a 2010 stx with manual shift 4x4. i tried to find in the owners manual if i have auto locking hubs or if they are always locked but all i could find is that some vehicles may have the auto lock. anyone know the answer i'm looking for?

Ford hasnt used a locking (auto or manual) since 1996. There trucks now have a half shaft that turns full time. The disconect for the front half shafts is in the front axle housing. And also in the transfer case. So when your going down the highway in 2wd, your half shafts will be turning still, but your ring/pinion/front driveshaft are not.
