Update was released this morning, just got mine done. Dealer was kind enough to update their IDS to R68.08 on the spot and load it on my truck. The paperwork states Ford was addressing some of the shifting issues being experienced, so far I would say thumbs up. For those like me that like to watch the gears change on the console, the update leaves that on once selected so after a restart it is still showing. ...sweet. It is the little things.

Interesting. My truck was built 8/12 so has the new tune, however mine doesn't show the gears after resart. I have to push the + each time I start to see it.

I got my reflash done today while I was getting my free DEF fill up. I jokingly asked my service guy if I would be able to smoke the tires now, he said I should be able to and give it a try. I left nice black marks in front of the service bay as the 37's spun on may way out. Quite happy with the reflash and I like the fact that I am able to watch the gears change now without having to set it everytime I start up.

 

I got mine this morning as well. Noticeable power increase and a little better mileage. I get rubber in the first three gears...nice

 

Yeah, I noticed the tires slipping when I pulled into heavy traffic and had to jump on it. tires won't last very long if I do that very often.

 

I turned off the traction control. Much more fun...

 

got mine reflashed while the loan / paper work was coming through.

its SWEET.

but when i jumped in the truck on the way home i was getting less than 12 MPG

by the time i got home it was reading over 16 MPG

i get my bigger tires next week sometime.

im really looking forward to towing with this truck. ill REALLY miss my loud exhaust on my 6.0 though...

 

You will get to liking it more as you drive it. I like how quiet mine is.
