tranny ackting funny
i have a 1997 f-150 4x4 and everytime i hit the gas and get it rolling to around 40 - 45 and let go for a second and the rpm will drop as usuall... but i go and try to hit the gas again and the rpms wont go up but if i press it a little harder it will go up again can anyone help me

the problem is that when im going like 40-45 and let go of the gas and let it drop down and try to hit the gas agian but the rmps heaistate to go past 1500 and i have to press the throttle more than half way then the rmps jump up to where there soposed to do. the problem starts just when i let the rpms drop to low and try to hit the gas again

Sounds like you might have a bad tps. If it were the transmission I believe the rpms would rise normally.
Dead spots in the tps could cause your problem I believe. When you notice the rpms not responding
is the truck still pulling hard?
