FOAM between dash and windshield

My 2010 f150 has a piece of foam that keeps pushing up on the left side from between the dash panel and inner windshield. Ford sent a engineer (no lie) to fix mine first. I have had it done a second time, and now it needs it again. Does not sound so bad, but it is a $30k truck and it is cheesy with the foam sticking up. Plus they have to pull the dash in order to replace the part.
I do not want my dash pulled a third time because that will lead to rattles.
Has anyone else had this problem?
He is what I am going to do. I have the time to meet with the service manager and politely state my case, and ask to meet with the factory rep. Then without threatening Lemon Law, politely persuade them to give me a free extended warranty.
I worked as a assistant service manager before!

What exactly is that foam for anyhow? Mine has it, but it appears to be stationary at the moment.

Let us know how that works out for you.

My guess is they put it there because they can't have the dash go all the way to the windshield because it would rattle, so they put a piece of black foam there so it wouldn't be a gaping hole in the dash. My truck and my car both have it but luckily I haven't had any problems.

From other forums I have read on this issue...it is not fixable. To properly correct it the windshield has to be removed and the problem reoccurs in the future anyway. So I'd rather have the foam sticking out than deal with a possible leaking windshield. Apparently what some guys are doing is just pushing it back in place themselves with their hands or some type of tool that won't scuff the dash or scratch the glass....like a plastic putty knife.

My Harley edition is 3 weeks old and already doing it on the drivers side.

Is this something only on the 2010s? I have not had this happen on my 2009 and I took a close look last week while cleaning. My 2009 is 14 months old and I have no foam sticking out or even visible. I guess I got lucky... sorry to hear about this problem...
