peragon box cover
any body looking for a box cover for your truck i highly recomend peragon ,i shoped around the stores and then tried online and came across peragon and found a folding aluminum locking box cover and tailgate lock for a fraction of the price of any retail parts store locally.so i ordered it online and it was shipped by fed ex 4 days later at my front door it came with the best step by step instal instructions i have ever attempted and i get frustrated easy so no frustration or swearing ,throwing tools etc.check it out www.peragon.com 
i added some pictures of box cover and of course my three fords i own.

Unless I'm missing an important piece of information about your particular truck, our F3-LB model will fit the 1991 XLT with the longbed. You can use the "Buy Now" link on our site to find it. You can also call me and I'd be happy to answer your questions. extension 71.

Using the "Buy Now" link, the '91 Ranger is not listed - it starts with 1993. Choosing that option, I have a choice between a 6 foot and an 8 foot bed. My bed is 7 feet long. All of this leaves me out of luck.

Peragon Box Cover
I can't agree more with Garbman. I looked around for a decent box cover that did the job without breaking the bank and then I ran across the Peragon covers while searching on line. At first I was a little concerned if they would hold up to a decent snow load ( i live in VT). I gave them a call and was assured that it would hold up. Not only was is delivered as fast as promised, it was easy to install and better yet, I find the snow slides off with no effort. Well worth installing!
