Bare minimum wiring
I am rewiring my mud toy. I am looking for a one wire alternator. Does anyone know of a GM or other one wire alternator that will bolt up to a 351w? I don't want the 3g upgrade. I want super simple wiring. I have already found a GM style two wire distribute. Everything on this vehicle will be toggle switch and push button.

Get an old 3 wire GM internal regulator alternator and wire it up as shown. Don't get much easier or cheaper than this.
Term. 1 to switch.
Term 2 to batt. lug on alternator.
Batt. lug to battery.
Ground lug to ground
Term. 1 to switch.
Term 2 to batt. lug on alternator.
Batt. lug to battery.
Ground lug to ground

Wiring Completed
I just got done wiring in a one wire alternator. I only has one wire that goes to the battery. After about 6 months trying to get all the rats nest of wires sorted out this was very easy and cheaper than completely rewiring the entire vehicle.
