Restoration beginning
Hello all, I've been lurking on this site off and on for years and have learned a lot. I've had a 67 F-100 fir about 15 years now that I just use for hauling firewood, hay and dump runs. All original, pretty straight body and minimal rust. The poor old girl has hit "critical mass" with things breaking and wearing out so she needs a well deserved restoration. I'd like to overhaul the motor and keep it pretty stock except for maybe a RV cam as I have a boat to tow, update the brakes and leave the cosmetics for later. This will be stretching my mechanical abilities quite a bit so need some advice. I remember in the past a book about overhauling Ford big blocks recommended on this forum. Anybody Know the name? What should I know going into this ie pitfalls, stuff to always replace or to never do... Any help would be greatly appreciated!
