Y'all can tell me that but you can't make me believe it. The final gear reduction in a Rear wheel drive truck will ALWAYS be the differential. The transmission can not change the ratio of the ring and pinon gears. If the transmission could, then all differentials would be the same ratio and we would provide low end power with the tranny and save lots of money. If the six speed automatic with a 3.55 differential provides X amount of power at the wheels, the same six speed automatic with a 3.73 differential would provide x+ amount of power at the wheels. I get that Ford is betting that I will never miss that + amount of power and they are probably right, but that doesn't change the mechanics. Now I'm going to bed. This rithmatic sh** makes my head hurt.
