big poppa has you covered on our thoughts. You could keep it all on and be satisfied since you didn't fork over the money for this stuff, or you could consider removing it all, sell it off to an unsuspecting Banks fanatic, and start with a clean slate and get yourself a good custom tune that will do all of the things those Banks parts do, except even better.
Well for now it is going to stay on. Fall is coming and I will be hooking up my 36 ft Coachmen to it. If it pulls it over the mountain and gives me decent mileage and be more stable as good or better than my old truck I will be a happy camper! Smokie
I have the power elbow and Exhaust and big head waste gate, i would'nt trade it for anything, very well built stuff, i don't run banks tunes, Smokies man keep all the banks stuff and get a dp tuner or PHP. Also look and see if you have the Banks intercooler.

The Ottomind is designed to be used with the Transcommand, so as long as you're happy with what the truck is doing and the mileage you're getting, stick with it. You're not going to get any better mileage or power with anyone else's tuning. The only thing that you may be missing out on is a better shifting strategy.

I think the main reason to ditch the thing is that you cannot ever change it. IOW, what you have is a 1 trick pony. I can have Jody, in my case or you change how sensitive the throttle is. As you mentioned, I can have you change the shifting so that my kidneys bleed every time it shifts or make it shift smooth as the proverbial baby's ***. I can control how high the EGT gets. If I want to run it till it gets to 1500, it is MY choice. With Banks system, it is his way or the highway. For all of those limitations, why would I pay MORE than what you would charge me to get it done?

I can't. I'm not a supporter/vendor here and I am not pimping any products.
I was simply trying to explain to the OP that if he likes how the truck runs, then there's no reason to buy something else.
I wasted 3200$ on banks junk,and then I found this site. These guys know what they are talking about. Right now I don't have a single banks product on my truck. Some I sold most I gave away. The dp-tuner absolutely killed banks. Outstanding! Clay at riffraff diesel will set you up when you want to build a fun to drive truck with mpg's and hp. I trusted these guys and haven't been steered wrong yet.

I did the same thing for years with my truck. I had the Superchip and I thought there was nothing that could be better then that. Then I found FTE and went with the DP-TUNER. I have said and will say that there is a world of difference between the two. I helped a guy with a fuel leak a few months ago and he had the Banks 6 gun. He asked me to drive his truck to see what I thought about the power his truck now has. I told him that it does have more power then stock. When we got back to my house, I took him for a ride in my truck. I left the chip in 80e and took off. This guy liked to had a cow. He kept saying WOW, WOW, then I told him I still had 3 higher HP tunes then this one. I remember how I felt after installing the DP-TUNER and taking the truck out for the first time.

LOL.... Yeah, I hardly noticed any difference going to the hybrids. I mean, +150 hp & over +300 ft-lbs. in torque is barely detectable in the butt dyno...
When I bought my truck it had the 6 gun with the banks 4 " exhaust already on it. Banks unit seem to make it go a little faster, but I wanted more control over the truck. So I went with a DP Tuner and the difference is night and day. The DP blows Banks out of the water. Just an FYI but if you like what you got then keep it.
I have kept the Banks exhaust it seems fine. Anyone have problems with the exhaust?
