BANKS ????

I recently bought a 2001 F350 Dually from a friend of mine who bought the truck at auction. It has Banks mods on it but not sure what kind of hp it now has? There is a Banks sticker under the hood that says " GIT-KIT,STINGER-PLUS-POWERPACK" Does this mean that all this stuff has been put on this truck? Went to Banks site and just got more confused ! Please chime in with any info you may have! Thanks

I dont know that any of us can answer that. You would need to snap a picture of the waste gate, or tell us, does it have Banks on it. You would also need to look under the truck, do you have a 4" exhaust. Do you have anything on your dash, do you have gages?

Bank's did sell the Git Kit Stinger package. From what I recall you got a full 4 inch turbo back system and possibly a chip of some sorts but all those systems were expensive. Here's what I found, look under your hood and see what you have and compare with the link I provided, click the tabs.. http://bankspower.com/app/index/3#

OK! From what I can see it has the BigHead wastegate and it sure looks like a 4 in exhaust with chrome down turn extention . Also it has the 3 gage package on the pillar. Not sure about intercooler? Just read about the trans module ! will have to get under to check that out! I think one of the PO threw a ton of bucks on this truck! I think it is going to tow my fiver better than my old single axle F250!! As soon as I finish a couple more things with the truck I am going to post some pics of it and under the hood!

That's the sticker the send with the stuff you get with Banks. You can look at your PCM & see if the Banks chip is there, it'll be right behind the e-brake. It may have the trans-command, it would be under the truck on the pass side. Just for your info I bought & installed the Banks Stinger Kit on mine a few years back (didn't Know any better). I'll just say that the Phoenix chip I installed a few months ago from Power Hungry makes the Banks stuff want run & hide. The power is no comparison & the trans shifts way better.

Update! Just took a closer look under the bonnet and I saw a Banks logo at the end of the lower intercooler pipe. and under the dash on the end of PCM was a Banks Ottominder chip! Still have look for the trans module!! CJ do you know what kind of HP boost you may have got?

It was suppose to be 68hp - 125tq. If those #'s are good then PHP should call their 65hp about 85 or 90hp.

I'd plug up the exhaust elbow so I can remove the temp sender. I'd install one in the exhaust manifold. Also ditch the ottomind crap and the transvestite command and get a VB with a custom tune.

PowerPack System

Stunning top gains of +104 hp, +224 lb-ft (rear wheel) and 14%

improved towing mileage, thanks to Banks' intake, turbo, exhaust,

transmission and tuning upgrades.

This appears to be what I have seen on the truck so far! I'll take that gain anyday!!

I'm sorry, but there is just no way you are making 350 at the wheels with stock sticks and a stock turbo. Especially with an off the shelf tuner.

These are the charts from Banks! You think they are lying about the results? I think Banks is over priced on their products but I think there quality and enginering look top rate! There was almost $3300.00 worth of equipment installed on this rig and I am sure there are better things out there but this is what I got in the deal!!

You actually got in real world numbers 1K worth of product and still can't hold a match to the the 1K spent. A good tuner can do most the things that all that banks stuff adds such as the trans command and such the exhaust and the gauges are about all thats good.

Petie about like 379 with just a van turbo added .

In short: I don't think they're outright lying but I don't think they'd ever give you the full truth.

JD: I'm doing my best to find another dyno to put my truck on. I don't believe the #s that the dyno at RRE spit out.

I got a kick out of those numbers too JD but hell, I'm no dyno numbers king. When I seen those numbers I thought I could dyno 400 hp's or more, lol... Just razzin ya Pete, you did good..

Fawl Braw at Dilsburg, Pa., theres going to be a dyno there, I might scoot up on it just to see..Too Bigred, weren't not bashing you, you got what was already handed on your plate, were trying to tell you things you could remove and add a little of something else to get that system running its peak where can really injoy it but its your call. You scored on some aftermarket equipment, let us help you tweek it a bit to get the full potential of a roaring mean machine.

Working 7 days a week can't take a full weekend off to make it to PA this fall. I'm hearing word of one in CT so I'm planning on trying to get it up on that dyno.
