check engine light?
check engine light?
my check engine light came on while i was traveling from wash. state to southern cali. I stopped in a shop at oakland and the code was p2004 which is a code for an intake manifold control valve bank one. I have a 2004 5.4 liter 3 valve, which in my chiltons manual says that it don't have one of these valves! so does anybody have any idea if it has one or not? and what would the fix be if it does?
Your engine has a number of vacuum hoses located, well, everywhere. Look under your hood and make sure none of them are crimped, spilt, blocked or disconnected.
If you don't find one then your problem gets exponentially worse. Not catastrophic, just more complicated.

thanks! i checked after work today and i didn't find anything, but thats not saying i didn't miss one. I guess the next step is to pull the intake manifold off of it. is there anything else i should do to it while i have it off? maybee clean the maf sensor stuff like that?
