My seats have never come on either. We had a couple days of 120+ temps here about a month ago. The cabin was nice, but the seats were not cooling. Nice to hear that it does work for some. I was wondering if it was a misprint and the feature was not "real". Now I can ask when I take it in for the flash upgrade.
Your climate control system has to be on full auto for it to work - additionally the a/c, and heater in the seats only works when the temperature range designates the climate control to activate the seat zones.
Yep I never have my climate control on anything other than full auto. I also use the seat coolers 24/7. Maybe its a metric problem - I'll try switching to imperial and see if that does anything.
Well maybe they are working when you remote start - But keep in mind that they will not stay on after you put your key in the ingnition - It is only to pre-cool the seats when the a/c goes into MAX cool mode - after you get in your truck you still need to manually activate da-asschill button!
I just started my truck here in CO and it was 34 degrees and the seat warmers didn't come on....and yes it def was on auto mode. Does anyone know what the temperature thresholds are or is it a mythodical number?
yeh.. what happened to your mirrors? did defrost come on?
what is 'moderate weather conditions'?
Automatic climate control
For hot weather conditions:
• The interior cabin will be cooled to 72°F (22°C).
• The cooled seats (if equipped) will be set to high.
For cold weather conditions:
• The interior cabin will be heated to 72°F (22°C).
• The heated seats (if equipped) will be set to high.
• Rear defrost/heated mirrors (if equipped) will be activated.
For moderate weather conditions:
• The interior cabin will be heated, cooled, or off, based upon the
previous operating state (last ignition-on cycle).
• Heated/cooled seats (if equipped) will be deactivated.
• Rear defrost/heated mirrors (if equipped) will be deactivated.

I know its suppose to get the cabin to 72 no matter the hot or cold as long as it gets the cabin to 72 but at what ambient temperature does it turn on the warmers or coolers?
I mean 34 degrees is cold to me...cold enough to turn the warmers on....is the threshold 20 degrees or something stupid cold like that?
It does turn on the heaters - It just doesn't leave them on after you place the key in. After the key is in you need to manually engage Da Asstoast button.

I don't know the answer, thats why I was asking if the mirror defrost had come on.. the 'moderate temps' says the mirror heat is on while the seats are not
oh i was wondering what the mirros had to do with my question lol....I have no idea if the mirror heaters were on or not...I just know I got into the truck and the heat was on out the defrost and floor and the seats were ice cold. When I turned on the key and manually turned the seat warmers on then the seats got warm. I wonder is the VCM software the dealership has can tell if its working properly or not.
PowerStrokeHD -- you are the man! I work in a technical field and am just amazed at the data you bring to the forum! I am anxiously waiting for a F350 CC PSD SB ordered on 23rd of this month. Came to the site looking to learn before I had...
Wonder if some of the people with the issues are in the gray temperature areas... You know, the outside air temperature according to the news is 30 but really is 34 where you parked your vehicle. Looks like if you are not in the temperature correct range, things just ain't going to happen...
