I found this old gas station in Cowan, Tennessee yesterday. The old station was the town's libary and chamber of commerce. I wished more towns would do that. I put about 650 miles on her yesterday throughout middle tennessee and northern alabama. Sometimes you forget why we do it, I sure did have fun.
Last Chance, did you happen to take any other shots of that garage, judging by the picture it looks as though all is still original from the 50's. I've always wanted an old gas pump and air filling station. When seeing the asking prices for those items I figured it best to spending that money on my panel, lol
P.S. your truck looks right at home in that picture

10-4 on that Don, we can get something scheduled up and take a ride, maybe we can get some of those pretty trucks out of Nashville to join in. LOL. The station was close to Mount Eagle, where the University of the South is located. We also seen Al Capone's Tennessee retreat house and a convenant. Now, how can I climb a mountain and find a bunch of nuns? I wasn't even drinking yet.
That's a nice pic. I wish i'd had my camera a couple of weeks ago. I spent the night in a hotel in Sioux Falls, SD and across the street was a 1950's dealership. There were probably 6 cars inside, walls covered in memorabilia and there must have been 3 dozen neon signs hanging from that place, it glowed like crazy!
