Question Edge or MKX ?

We're going to look at both on Monday, while employee pricing is on 2010s'.
What are main differences? Any preferences?
Hopefully,some quick replies.

Thanks, Jack

Let us know which one you buy!

Wife & I prefer the exterior styling of the Edge and the "Limited" is almost as nice as the Lincoln.

I'm more comfortable driving the Edge...the center console on the Lincoln is much larger and more intrusive. If you're planning on keeping it beyond the warranty period...the technology that makes the Lincoln more expensive initially also makes it more expensive down the road. Keep us posted.

They could not locate a 2010 cinnamon color, but found me a
black/charcoal leather,vista roof/remote start/sync.
I guess the 'employee pricing' becomes a first come, first served fire sale
:-).

We got the Edge SEL-AWD
black metallic
charcoal leather /heated
keyless entry
vista roof (wlmr)
power tailgate
remote start
sync (looks like a big learning curve)
18" painted aluminum wheels ,didn't like 'chrome clad '
sirius (salesman kept saying syrus)

no tow package though, kept the ol' 2000 F150 to tow the fishing boat

what's in the tow package? can it be done later?

No pictures yet, raining the day I picked it up.

My wife is wanting to sell her Ecursion and get the MKX or the Edge.
She found 2 she likes but she wants the navigation system, can this be added by dealer and is it worth the $1500. extra?

You will notice a difference in the two quality wise. I never thought there was until my wife owned a zephyr which is basically the fusion. I've been in both the mkx and the edge and agree with the center being a little big, but it just seems like the overall quality and finish is better with the mkx. Is it 10-15k better? No...lol. I'd find a decked out limited awd edge unless you come across a killer deal on the mkx. You can't go wrong with either one of them. I want my wife to trade the zephyr in on one because it's hard to buckle 3 kids in her car, but I don't think the mkx or edge is much wider.

Congrats on the new Edge!

From another forum:
I checked out the Ford website and when you go to build an Edge, it gives the details of the towing package:

Class II receiver
Larger radiator
Upgraded cooling fans
4 pin wiring harness

I have the towing package on my 2008 and I remember seeing that there was also a higher capacity battery and an oil cooler as well, but I don't see it on their website.
