The three most common are pyrometer, boost, and transmission temperature. You aren't necessarily bound to that, though. I know one guy that has 15 guages in his truck, and he can tell you everything about what's going on under the hood. When I asked him why he felt it necessary to have all those guages, he told me that once he replaced the engine, he decided that no number of guages could cost as much as another replacement.
My opinion would be boost, and EGT as the two most important gauges you could have in your truck. I have the two above along with a volt gauge , because i like to keep a tab on the voltage of the truck at a glance.I have a two gauge a-pillar from Autometer , and the steering coloum pod from them as well. I agree with what Quadzilla said , it is basically up to you as far as what gauges you want to run.............
D.I.S has a nice selection and compeditive prices. Good folkes to deal with. I have the three gauge pillar mount, they painted it for $7.00. I went with the Isspro -Pyro, Boost and Trany gauges.
