pedals

anyone got a set of brake clutch pedals that they would part with?

I don't think the ones from my 87 parts truck are going to work.

Going in a 73 cab. I will have to modify them for the hydraulic clutch so worn out holes are ok.

Which 1973/79 brake/clutch pedals would you like?

1973/79 F100/350:

There are TWENTY TWO different brake pedals, SEVEN different clutch pedals and NINETEEN different power brake boosters! I kid you not.

With M/T or A/T makes a difference, with/without Speed Control (1975/79) makes a difference. With Manual discs (F100) makes a difference, with power drum or power discs makes a difference.

With 2WD, or with 4WD makes a difference. Before/from certain serial numbers makes a difference.

Whatever pedals you use, must match the booster...and the bracket they hang from under the dash. Otherwise you'll be up scheiss creek without a paddle with a hole in the boat.

1968/72 F100/350: There was ONE brake and ONE clutch pedal, FOUR different boosters. Ford went crazy in 1973/79...why, I dunno.

WOW

That is a lot of different pedals.

What I am doing is converting my 73 F100/360/C6 2WD To a F250 4x4. I am using a 79 f250 4x4 frame. I used a 87 Ford hydraulic clutch bellhousing, 87 Ford Flywheel, pressure plate and TB/pilot bearing, 95 Chevy 11 inch clutch disk, 95 Chevy NV4500 behind a 97 F4TE 5.8. I have the 87 F250 donor truck. It may be easier to use the 87 pedals, master cylinder and such and just fab the mounting bracket to make it fit under the dash. I guess I could reinforce the firewall at the same time. I just want to accomplish all this without changing the looks of the truck. My objective is to make it look as factory original as possible. I have not decided on the steering column yet. I would like a manual trans tilt. I may end up using an after market column.

What do you think?

Doug
