coolant filter installed - temp readings?
Hey all,
So I have a 7.3 2002. Just replaced the water pump, fan clutch and radiator. I have a manual temp gauge in the side port of the coolant filter. Driving around now the gauge sits just below 195. (Before I replaced everything it was running hot - figures it was the last thing - the radiator) I am wondering what other people with this setup run on temperatures? I am now further away from the stock temp sensor and the the water pump. I am assuming I am losing a couple of degrees from being more remote, but wondering what everyone else is seeing....

I pull my ECT from the ODBII port via the Edge EVO. Not sure where it is getting the info form. It runs between 198 and 202 most of the time. If I'm towing, I may see it reach 205 on a long hill but it cools very rapidly on the downslope.
Have always wondered what other 7.3L owenrs see as "normal operating" ECT. I also don't have any idea what the Thermostat is in this EX.
Do you know what that temp opening is?
