Help. Found what looks like a hole in my trans

I found what appears to be a small hole in my trans housing in the bellhousing area.

And using the "Macro" feature of your cam, if it has it. The photo will despict a lot more detail.

Edit: What transmission are we talking about in the first place? This hole looks like it was drilled in there, definitely not something that got broken off... Also there's really nothing inside the bellhousing other than the flywheel/clutch or torque converter, neither of which requires the bellhousing to be sealed up...

'92 E4OD. It's on the bottom-driver's side of the bellhousing.

by the shape of the hole, it looks as if it was drilled. in the pic it doesnt even look like it goes all the way through. if it doesnt, leave it be..

Yeah, I don't think it does. It just worried me finding a 'hole' in my transmission.
