My front sway bar link bushings are shot. I've been looking around for them and I've only found the entire links. Are the bushings servicable or do you need to buy new links too? The prices I've found on them range from $13.99 to $65 each. I don't want to buy junk. Are there any good brands I need to look for?
You can buy replacement bushings, so long as you have a 12ton press available to remove the old bushing and to install the new ones.
I bought a new factory set from Parts Guy Ed, site sponsor, and had the old bushing removed by a fellow co-worker and brought the Energy System replacement Urethane ones, so now I have new ones ready to go in, someday...lol

Steve. Do you have the Energy Suspension parts numbers? I cant find them in their catalog.
I just bought the Moog complete replacement links from RockAuto.com for $56.79 each plus shipping. Part numbers are K80273 and K80274. They are supposed to cure the "clunk" issue and they are bolt-on. I will be putting them on tomorrow.
Stew
I purchased and installed the Moog replacement link yesterday. The look like tie rod ends. Yes, the are expensive, but they definitely got rid of the rattle and clunking. So worth it!
I got the energy suspension bushings from JC WHitney when I bought my helwigg from them... have the part number in the garage - will post later today or just call their 800 # - very helpful
Thanks for all the help guys. Going with the Moogs. Also getting the Energy Suspension sway bar bushings to complete the fix. I figure if I'm going to replace the links I might as well replace the sway bar bushings while I'm at it. 192K on the factory units.
I put the Moog sway bar end links and Energy sway bar bushings a couple months ago. The clunk noise disappeared and the front end feels more controlled and tight. The parts numbers are as Ex03Ak said. They do look like tie rod ends and are greasable. They come with right angle grease fittings. I put 1/4"-28 straight fittings instead. The Energy bushings I got were part number 45180G. On the right side I had to trim about an 1/8" for it to fit into the bracket. This cured the groaning noise when pulling into a driveway or going over a speed bump. It's definitely worth the upgrade.

Where did you get the sway bar bushings and the moog links from, i found the moog links ok but can't find the bar bushings. Did you get the greaseable one's?
I got the Energy bushings on ebay with free shipping for $17.99. That's for the bushings only. I used the stock bracket and put grease in the inside of the bushings when I installed them. The Moog end links I got from Amazon.

Don't know if they're greaseable or not.....hum.....don't think so. Did you find ones that are? If so what's the part number?
Got the links from rockauto. Ordered on Saturday and they shipped that same day. Impressive. Going to give them more business if that level of service keeps up.

Those are the same ones I got, had a little trouble with the fit on the driver side, needed to notch the holes a little bigger and use larger washers.
REPS Given.......
Thanks for the REPS!
So Steve,
on the greasable sway bar bushings, does the grease go through the bushing to the sway bar?
Do you think they are worth the money?
I have 185'--- on the OEM's and am wondering if the up grade is worth it? New OEM's would take me to 370'--- + miles.
