Gauge install
I did mine a few weeks ago. Was pretty straight forward.
Most "instructions" suggest using the clutch linkage plug for firewall access; with ours, I just used the shift cable boot because it was "right there". Did run the boost gauge tube at the clutch linkage plug though.
For the lights and B+, just used the "fuse tap" route. #10 for the lighting circuit and #17 for the supply worked fine for me.

I put the thermocouple in the manifold, driver's side, right before the flange to the up pipe. First time drilling heated and used cast iron...was scared after talking with some guys that race cars, but turned out to be really easy. The setup I got had a 1/4" NPT thread so my hole was bigger than most.
first towing run was earlier this week. Saw ~ 1050 F on one of the long hills up at the top. Sure was a lot more than the peak 650 F seen merging onto the highway.

Yea I have all the tools but the instructions showed 3 places to place the EGT sensor just wondering.... I may have to grab a tap just in case lol... Anyone know about the trans temp sensor? Does our hook up to the PCM or can I use the existing sensor and just run it to the gauge?
There is a spot to hook it on the drivers side of the trans just above the pan. I don't have a pic, pretty easy to find, may be able to find a pic if you do a search on gauges?
Drivers side exhaust manifold for the pyro. Drill and tap the rear (number 8) one from underneath (at least that's what I did).

The factory temp sensor is inside the case, you won't be removing it easily.
There is a test port on the driver's side, about an inch above the pan gasket flange. look above the second or third bolt back.
I would post the pic I have but can't .... guess they don't trust the newbies
