I have a brand new UWS Box that fits flush under the bed rails for sale if anyone is interested - I bought it for my 2011 however - I also had a custom made Bak-Flip cover made for the times when i want to lock the bed, But also want the ability to put a chest box there to keep things from rolling around in the bed - (Chains, Jacks, other misc tools, Etc, Etc...) and when I put the UWS box in the bed it was 2" too wide and would not open as the rails from the tonnau cover prevented it from opening - So I am going to custom make the box myself out of 1/8" Stainless plate and be done with it - If you are interested PM me for details - it is Black.
thanks.. if you go to the 'user cp' link (1st blue bar), and click, 'edit your details'
and put that into your 'location'.. it will show off to the right..
Northshore, is that Mandeville or Covington? I lived in Bay St Louis, MS for a long time and came over a LOT.
Okay back to toolboxes, sorry.
I have about the same box as shown except mine came from Tractor Supply Company. It is made by Delta and is the "RSL" that makes the lid sturdy enough to stand on, they do sell cheap ones too. It comes in the very low profile with rounded edges, either deep depth (about 18") or regular (about 9 or 10").
Go to Delta's web site and they have it all. I would have no problem getting a UWS either, between the two they seem to be the best constructed.
I looked at Advance Auto and Sears, they both could order it and have it in 3 to 5 days, but it was more expensive. I
I'm looking at the flush mounted chest tool boxes. What width will fit our trucks best? Most of the ones I see are 61" wide, but when I measure the bed it looks to be a tight fit.
I have a brand new in the box - UWS Black TBC-62-WN chest that fits perfectly in the bed - comes with the front angle wedge and the left and right angled notches. This box was designed especially for the SuperDuty. I will sell for a loss if you are interested. I am in the Covington/Mandeville area of Louisiana.
I'm taking I-20 from DFW (home) to SC starting 1 week from today. then back again a week later. I will probably also be heading to Pensacola, FL around xmas... if you still have it then, we'll talk
