Hard Cold Start. Help!
I've read all your posts & found all very helpful, however I'm sill at odds here and could use a little more insight please.
My truck is an 04 - F250 6.0L 1 year ago I was having this same problem and after a month in a shop they agreed with me tat the Hi Pressure pump was bad and replaced it along with testing, cleaning and resealing injectors. (4K later it was working great) Now 2 weeks ago it starts up again, I am in SoCal so we don't get the low temp like some of you. Morning starts around 50dg outside, fires & dies, fires & dies, maybe 3 - 4 times then starts and runs like it is miss firing for about 2 min then smoothes out, but has no power until it gets to normal temp then is fine and will fire right up until it cools down again.
All oil and filters have been changed at ever 4K and just for the hell of it I changed them all again when this problem started up approx 1400 miles between changes.
I've checked the 7 post FICM yesterday after sitting overnight, with the outside temp around 65dg.
Key on 48V
Buzz test: 13V until glow plug light goes off then 48V
Cranking test 48V
NOTE: Check engine light has never come on.
After the test I took it to a friend with a scanner. The following codes came up: PO264 Injector circuit low cylinder 2 / Harness short to ground.
The same for cylinder 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, & 8. Only cylinder 1 did not code.
I cleared the codes and drove it home approx 12 miles. This morning it fired & died, (60 dg outside)cycled the key & waited 10 seconds tried again and it started but very rough for 2 min then smoothed out with no power until she warmed up. No smoke until the turbo kicks in then a blast of white with a lot of power. I am going to scan it again this morning to see if they come back.
Any Ideas????
Thanks for any info
Dan
Just for giggles and grins have BOTH your batteries and charging system load tested before dropping the coin on a FICM and try the FICM repair procedure if you're game. Check the 6.0 tech folder for FICM repair instructions.

The Short to ground in harness is what's getting me.
FYI, I just got back from scanning it again, after clearing everything last night it all back again same codes. Do you think the RE-Solder will work here?
