The whole tamale is illustrated here:
1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog / Illustration Section 166, Page 1
.
This catalog is available on a CD from hipoparts.com for 22 bucks.
With 4941 pages of text, 1961 pages of illustrations, you'll never have to ask for a part number or picture again.
I find it very hard to use.... Just think of it as looking through a book with almost 5000 pages for 1 part number? not easy. It's simple, all you need is a coupla hours of practice. If a cluck like this Bill Wilson can figure it out, anyone can.
The group numbers found in illustrations are the basic part numbers.
Find the basic part number in the text, adding the prefix and suffix gives the complete part number.
For example: 16892 is the basic part number for the safety catch. Take that number to TEXT, Section 166, page 12...there are the listings.
If you can count, you can use the parts catalog...the first chassis basic number is 1001, the last is 19999.
These numbers are in different sections...look in the left margin (Text or Illustrations) to see all of them.
