I am looking for a cowl hood for my 1979 F150. I remember seeing an advertisement in a 4wheeler mag a few years ago, but am not able to locate it. If anyone can help it would be appreciated. Also looking to put a 4 to 6 inch lift on the truck. I had a similar pickup with a 6 inch Skyjacker lift on it, just wondering about any of the other manufactures products.
Shartiger's truck in the third issue has a near perfect custom built 4" cowl hood. It looks perfect compared to those available from other manufacturers. Really cool pics in the magazine. Really like and will subscribe myself. We just started selling it too.
Ya thats a sick looking truck. 4" cowl is what I was thinking of going with would like to find a steel one but if fiberglass is all I find I guess it will just take a bit more work. Thanks for the pix
my personal opinion on the up22 (unlimited hoods) is that they dont fit and match the dents bodylines to well, i bought one about 3 years ago and was very disappointed with the fit, esp for the price, my next one will be a weld on using a factory hood!
A friend went through a nightmare with his and there are lots of threads on numerous sites that describe poor workmanship, lousy service and high shipping costs. Beware.
