Ill go check right now!!! The hubs are aftermarket WARN design but I dont se lines or even any place for tehm to hook up? Did all superdutys have vacuum locking hubs or is my setup common?
Some trucks had manual hubs and other had auto. Do you have a switch on the dash for 4x4 or a lever down by the go pedal? A switch means you had auto hubs at one point and the PO put in some manual hubs (the auto hubs probably broke).
I have the lever on the floor. I found the vacuum pump. Ill check it tomorrow in the daylight. BTW, you guys are awesome. I would have spent hundreds at the dealership to diagnose the problem.
I am working in Wyoming and it has gotten down to the lower 40's already. I just had the same thing happen and found the the electronic blend door actuator was not working. Vacuum has nothing to do with it, it is electric and it cost me $77.00 and it's a Ford item. Don't let the clowns on here tell you it is held in place with screws, it is not. Go get a new one and you will see what I am talking about.
I wish if people don't know what they are talking about not to post an answer, I have about had it with this board and people answers that are way out there when they have no idea what they are talking about.
I guess you have to be part of the "click" to get a real answer. Now if I ask a question about how big of a stupid stack to put in the bed I would have 100 or more people answer or how big of tire I could mount on a stupid truck that has a 15 in lift that has never been off the paved road.
Are we having a bad day? I see you've been around FTE slightly longer than I have; something must be keeping your interest up. I've gotten plenty of sound advice from here; but advice whether given in person, or on a forum, is just that. Ultimately, one must chose a course of action. Name calling is NEVER appropriate. (I see this is a slightly older comment, but still.....)

Guys, I'd just like to add that I've learned a few things reading this thread.
1) hubs not working + HVAC working - could be collapsed vacuum lines between compressor and hub.
2) hubs working + HVAC stuck on defrost - could be collapsed between compressor and HVAC control or flap (check if flap is vac or electric actuated).
3) hubs not working + HVAC not working - could be compressor burnt out.
4) compressor in engine bay works for extended period - could be vacuum leak, check lines to hub and HVAC.
I also learnt that my auto hubs are engaged by vacuum, and older F250's have manual locking hubs.
I love this forum - owning my F250 wouldn't be as much fun if this forum wasn't here.
Just because there is a forum is, IMHO, no reason to put the brain in N and blindly accept the advice given. I am happy to receive any advice given in good faith and try to understand the advice and how it relates to both my particular truck and my knowledge of how it works. My personal big thanks to everyone that cares enough to read a post and offer up something in good faith that, in my experience here, is always worth at least considering.
I turned the key on and the pump was silent. Im pretty sure the pump is burned out. I just ordered a new one from rock auto for about $70. I traced and looked at all of the lines. They all look perfect. Im wondering if the leak could be at one of the actuators. Ill have to get a vacuum tester to find out. ill let you know in a week if the problem is solved.

I will almost bet your problem was your muffler bearing was bad and someone told you to change the blinker fluid.
Damn hate it when you get bad advice!

Since you are so UN-APPRECIATIVE to folks trying to help, maybe it is time for you to move over to another forum that is less civilized.
I know several of these ''clowns'' as you say that are damned good mechanics.
