wat is going on?!?!?!
im thinking i am getting air in my fuel but im not sure as im going down the road i wont move my foot on the excelorator but it will slow down then speed up to even faster then i was going in the first place then if i slow down and push the clutch in it dies everytime this happens if i sit and wait for two minutes and run my electric fuel pump for maybe ten seconds then it will start right up and run fine so maybe its losing prime? i have no clue wat could be going on im leaving friday up into the mountains for a week for bow season so i would really like it not to do it while im up there if i can help it

pick up a jug of ATF and fill your fuel filter with it and dump the rest in the fuel tank. Sounds like she just needs a good cleaning. Sea foam, or Diesel KLEEN are good too if your concerned about the red color.

You are getting air on the suction side of the lift pump ...
You have an electric pump, why worry about fixing it right, just run the electric!
You might want to bypass the manual lift pump though!

mine doesn't slow down and speed up but every 3 months or so it will get to when i let off the accelerator it will die. it runs fine it starts right back up and idles but if i give it a little gas then let off it dies. if i slowly ease off the gas and slowly bring it back down to idle it will stay running. it idles fine. it runs down the highway fine. the only symptom is it dies if i let off the gas. every time it has a spell i dump some diesel kleen in the fuel tank and it clears up after a few days
. it sucks *** when i'm turning left thru an intersection and i go to shift from 2nd to 3rd half way thru the intersecion and it dies and i loose power steering. i almost got f**ked up one time when it did that. i just run diesel kleen thru it every so often and i don't have a problem. its the grey bottle at walmart. in the winter months i use the white bottle as it helps with gelling.

Pull your fuel filter and fill it with Stanadyne Lubricity Formula, start the truck for 30 seconds then allow to set preferably 24 hours!
