Shell Rotella T 15/40........ all will say diesel oil somewhere on the jug.

Wix filters, NAPA (wix), Fleetguard from IH dealer they are all good just NO FRAMs please.

Edit..... fill the fuel and oil filters 3/4 full before installation......

I like Rotella 15W-40, theres alot of other brands just as good IMO. Dont skimp on the filters, spend the extra $ on them. Wix is good.

There is no stupid question, only stupid answers!

The oil choices seem to be Rotella T 15w40, Dello 400 30w, Dello 400 15w40.
Filter choices seem to be Wix, Wix also makes the Napa Gold!
You can also use the larger two quart filter from the 1995 Powerstroke, I think the number is FL1995 ... Someone will verify. (Napa Gold 1734)

-Enjoy

And Napa Gold 3417 is the 7.3 fuel filter with it's own drain screw on the bottom if you've got a 7.3 style filter head.

I use Shell Rotella T 15w40.

I myself got one of the wix filters with the valve on the bottom so you don't have to install and keep that gray plastic cap on the bottom also has the water sensor port, paid $32 at my local band autoparts and I've been running delvac 1300 15w-40 for the last 1500 miles with no complaints

Sounds about right. My Napa Gold 3417 with the drain on the bottom was 36.95 if I remember correctly.
