Wow, there's a lot of "grill envy" going on here, those toothless monkey's just can't accept a better design when they see it. Good thing Ford did though or we could have been stuck with that thing until '53. *shudders* the horror...

If the truck was used with a snowplow at some time, the holes might be fore extra headlights mounted above the plow. Most standard headlight locations, the plow gets in the way.

I wondering when some smart a$$ southerner was going to to ask that.

We use them up here in the north to chase all the nasty snakes, spiders, football sized roaches and all the other nasty critters down south

Seriously, I am planning to find my retirement home by attaching a snow plow to the front of my truck and driving south until i run into some one who asks me what it is, then I know I will be where I want to live the rest of my life. I hate cold and snow!!

Ya for sure weather is a funny thing. I grew up in Oregon and was totally accepting of a very wet/cloudy environment in the northern Willamette Valley. But, after living in sunny/warm-dry heat/snowless/ Napa Valley Calif that is also close enough to the ocean to get evening cooling weather, it would be hard to leave.

I still visit my Oregon relatives, but I've lived here 40 years and it would be a really hard adjustment to go back to that mostly dark/wet place.

First week in Nov.? Better bring your insulated underwear and snow chains, you never know what kind of weather you'll encounter that time of year, but you know that.
