Just recently when ive started braking my whole truck is shaking and the pedal is pulsating as well. It only does it when braking at speeds of 35 or higher and its getting worse. Does anybody have a possible diagnosis why its doing this? Many thanks.
Got a 2006 STX 4x4 with the 4.6L with 58, 781 miles. The only problems I've had has been the 4x4 solenids messed up in the front causing it too slip into 4x4. Got that fixed under warranty, 25,00miles ago, dealer said everythings good. Then after my first brake job the front right caliper starting sticking so replaced the calipers and rotors in the front about 8K miles ago. Now there shaking.
Your rotors are prob messed up. Get them turned, or new ones. The fronts are the prob, I'll bet. A pulsating pedal is usually a rotor that is uneven in thickness. I once bought brand new rotors for my old Ford, and they needed turning. I had never heard of a new one needing to be turned, but the parts guy said sometimes they warp on the shelf. I think he was taking me for a ride. Anyhow he gave me a discount on them, and turned them, everything was good after that.

Its always frustrating when things don't get fixed right the first time. My wife's Jeep is going back to the shop (a different one this time that i have come to trust on my truck) to get the same issue hopefully dealt with correctly. The last guy I have used for years but lately he has been giving me responses like "it might work or it might not, I am not quite sure what the code is telling me". Doesn't really give me the warm and fuzzies about the mechanic anymore.
