Thumbs down Grinding bronco HELP!!

Hey guys,
Good news and bad. The good news is that the long block I bought from City Motor Supply last month has been fully installed and functional for almost a month now. I paid $790 for the premium long block which comes with almost all new parts. I went the extra mile and replaced as many external parts as I could afford... ie sensors, water pump, hoses, vacuum lines, egr valve, tps, etc. etc. All together I spent around $1700 for the whole deal. The engine has been doing great and running without any problems until I noticed a grinding sound yesterday. The sound is not coming from the engine compartment, it is coming from under the truck. If my tranny is shot again I am going to be one p&ssed off dude. I had the thing rebuilt last spring and it is now slipping and won't go into overdrive. I paid someone to do it because I don't do transmission work. Too complicated, too many tools involved and quite frankly that E4OD is a frustrating SOB. I have a few other hunches before I diagnose it as the tranny. I ran a diagnostic on it today and it did fine with both the KOEO and the KOER tests. I am wondering if it might be one of a couple of things. 1) transfer case. This is not a constant grinding it happens occasionally. I have noticed that today it happened after some jack off cut me off and I had to slam on my brakes. 2) ring and pinion gears. I am running 35" tires on my 3.55 gears. I know that this is not advisable but haven't been able to come up with cash to replace the gears yet with the cost of the new engine and all. 3) the wheel bearings. I have had bearings absolutely tear up on this truck before and I think that it is because of the amount of water we have had down here in south TX in the past few months. I have driven it through 3+ feet of water. I know that if water mixes with that grease in there it can do some serious damage to those bearings. These are just hunches as I said. I haven't taken the time to diagnose these hard parts yet but hope to this week. Any input would be great. Thanks in advance.

Grinding bronco HELP!!

I just replaced the ujoints and had the cardan joint replaced and had both driveshafts balanced last summer. This is more of a grinding sound than a shudder also.

Grinding bronco HELP!!

Do you notice the grinding when you hit the brakes? Check your front brake pads they could be worn causing them to grind on your rotors.
