Leveling kits. Yes or no?

For the Tundras (and I assume f150s as well) you have two different types of leveling kits. one that sits on top of the strut, and one that will elongate it.
If I ahd gone the leveling kit route, I would have gone on top of the strut as it doesn't change ride quality at all. However, doesn't it change the angles more than the one that goes in between the coil? I know that sounds weird, and I'm no mechanic or engineer, so I don't know... but I believe I read that earlier.
