99 AM/FM CD Player Lights

On my 99 F350 I have the original CD and cassette player AM/FM unit.

Everything seems to work but there are no lights for the digits to show what channel AM/FM radio you are on.

Is this fixable or is this unit ready for the trash heap?

My radio light is out also,I am going to take mine apart someday if I figure it out I will let you know

Mine went out too years ago. When I was getting my alarm installed the tech said he knew the fix. The light goes thru a conversion and loses contact. Simple solder. I gave his number to others on here but they weren't happy when the tech wanted to charge them for the know-how. And FWIW mine is fading again.

Thanks, when I find the time I might take it apart and see if I can fix it. What have I got to lose.

Got any idea where I could find a schematic for the radio?
