Alot of you guys know about gassers, the wife has a 90 lincoln,5.0, Will bad or dirty fuel injectors cause a engine knock similar to a diesel inj knock?? To bad theres not a good forum like this one for lincolns......

Rick,use a long screwdriver and place the working end on the injector with the car running.
now place your ear up to the handle.you should clearly hear the injector "snap" "snap" "snap" nice and distinct.try this on all of them.
at least if you don't hear one working at all,or find the one that sounds much quieter,you'll know which one to replace.that's a nice easy free injector test to find a real bad (or dead) one anyway.if no luck with that,oh well.it didn't cost ya anything.

OK, When I start it cold it is has a pretty good knock/rattle I cant tell where its coming from.Just my luck,,probably time for an engine in that thing to,,it only has 260,000 on it!! and a new tranny!!

Lol, did you check their performance section? Some folks are going just nuts with them big ol' cars... By the way whatever they're ding to their engines and transmissions can be done in your Lincoln too, that's the beauty of the '90 TownCar - newer more aerodynamic bodystyle with the proven and cheap to mod 302/AOD combo....
