I have always wondered what size of rear end is under the exped's. Mine is 2wd and has the towing package and looks MASSIVE. Can anyone just give me a little fyi on how big they are?

You have either the standard Ford 8.8 (8.8" ring gear) which looks kind of puny. It is shaped kind of round. The other diff is the Sterling 9.75 (9.75" ring gear). It looks a lot like a Dana 60. A similar diff is installed in the super duty trucks in 10.25" and 10.5" sizes.
I do not think it is the 8.8 the 8.8 is the front axle used in my expy, you proabably have a 10.25 sterling, that is what my 2000 4x4 5.4 EB w/tow package and air suspension
