Well, as I mentioned in the other thread I'm swapping an engine from an E450 to an F350. Nothing fancy, just need it to work. I noticed a couple things about the turbo pretty quick....
#1 - the turbo on the E series does not have a wastegate.
#2 - the outlet flange is smaller than the one on my old turbo.
I did notice quite a few threads about people swapping "van turbos" into their trucks, but I couldn't find a detailed outline of what is involved. Can someone tell me what I'm up against here? Is there an adapter to connect to my stock exhaust? Thanks.

i would use ur manifolds and up pipes from the original engine as the van engine has different manifolds. then install the van turbo to the sd uppipes.
Awesome.... thanks. It even eliminates the EBPV for me. Gonna get one of those and some new up pipes and donuts from Ford.
I had actually already swapped the manifolds over, because there was an interference issue with the F series motor mounts and the oil cooler on the drivers side.... and in order to swap oil coolers (again, interference) I also had to swap manifolds. Which, wasn't too disappointing since they BOTH had broke bolts in the back end.

They look really nice and I'm sure they would last for all eternity, but I'm pretty much tapped out, for now. Gonna have a bunch of parts for sale though, so I'll have to see what that nets me.
