hey guys i am doing my parts list and i asked before what the best ride and long lasting shock was and i am pretty sure that yall said monotube shocks.
this is one of the better monotubes i found. is this what you guys were suggesting or did i get it wrong. if so can you guys suggest a shock that will be reliable and durable while offering a good ride.
i bought skyjacker nitrogen shocks, so comfortable and i have an F350 w/1 ton axles. the ones i had before not sure what they were, i felt every bump in the street
For an F150, if you're looking for a great ride, a tough shock that lasts, and a good customer service experience from Bilstein should anything go wrong with them...go with them! There is a HUGE "you get what you pay for" difference with shocks, and I will never recommend Skyjacker Nitros to anyone now that I have had them on my truck....most rough-riding overheating things that I've seen, I'm pretty sure my stock OEM from 1987 shocks had more travel and two of them were seized lol. I have ridden in a truck spec'd out almost identical to mine and he had Bilsteins and there was a HUGE difference. That shock there is going to be a great unit for you, very worth the price.
