newbie 6.0 exhaust question

Hello peeps, Im new to the forum so forgive me if this is in the wrong place. I drive an 05 reg cab 4x4 f-350 xl 6.0 diesel. I bought the truck new in 05 and I now have about 150,000 miles on it. The only problem so far was the "fuel module?" which went bad at about 120,000. Even though I was out of warranty ford still replaced it for like 1/3 the cost. Phewww.. Anyway my question is can I put an aftermarket exhaust system on my truck to get some better sound and not change the reliability of the truck? It is my daily driver, and it is still completely unmodified in any way. The truck gets serviced regularly and I am hoping to stretch it out to 300,000 miles. Any input would be a great help. Thanks a lot everyone.

IMO the stock down pipe is the best for the stock power band.
If you are going to change the piping I would stick to 3.5" or 4"
5" and up you will see a reduction in the low end and excessive lag.
