Hi,I am interested in buying this F-250 from a guy in Jersey. It has an issue
When you look into the radiator, you will see oil mixed with antifreeze. There's nothing else that seems to be wrong. They say; if the head is cracked or anything else wrong with the engine, there will be water-antifreeze in the engine too, in this case, oil is very clean and no antifreeze is mixing back.Could it be the oil cooler line inside the radiator that's leaking oil. Radiator,Heads?Etc
It needs a oil cooler new hoses and a lot of flushing, the EGR cooler might not be doing so well with a dead oil cooler.Don't drive the truck as oil in the coolant runes the cooling capability of the coolant.
The 6.0 is known to have casting sand in the cooling system leftover from production of the block,a coolant filter sorts that issue. The coolant cools the oil cooler when it overheats the oil cooler and or the EGR cooler fail. Some trucks are worse than others.
