Hey guys! I have a 1960 f100, and im currently in the process of redoing the interior. My question is, does anybody know how the ***** ( lights, heater, air vents ect.) come off? Ive been pulling on them, but they dont budge. Another question is, after I go down to pretty much bare metal, what kind of primer do I start with? Im doin this myself so I know its not gonna be a show winning paint job. I just want a good stick. Also what would be the best kind of paint to get, out of a spray can? Thanks for the help!
Don’t know about the *****.
Subject to correction;
1. Acid etching primer (zinc chromate) first. (pro form)
2. High build spray primer, sand recoat sand again, repeat until your as crazy as a car painter. (pro form)
3. Get Napa or someone to mix and fill some spray cans with acrylic enamel (if still available).

Reason: Oh, welcome to the site, where the H are you?
Light ****:comes off w/shaft as a unit,press release button on headlight switch behind dash. Heater switch ****;I believe there is a small set screw on underside of plastic ****. Air vent *****:non -replaceable,are integral with the cables.
Note:the air vent *****/cables only occasionally come up for sale on Ebay,always used,never seen NOS ones.Not reproduced for 57 -60,that I know of.This is one of the items I would stock up on,when they come up for auction.
