Dirty Injector - Fix
Diesel EnginesControlling Moisture in Oil
To control moisture buildup in oil, add 1½ oz. Sea Foam to each quart of oil. Sea foam will prevent the white milky film that forms from phase separation of the moisture that accumulates in oil. Moisture evaporates under the heat of the crankcase. Change the oil and filter when it is dirty.
Controlling Moisture Buildup in Fuel
To control moisture buildup, add 2 oz. Sea Foam to each gallon of gas oil mix.
Controlling Moisture and Gelling in Fuel
To control moisture buildup and gelling in fuel, add 1 oz. Sea Foam to each gallon of fuel. Sea Foam will prevent phase separation of the moisture that accumulates in fuel and prevent freezing. Sea Foam can even de-gell frozen diesel fuel by melting ice crystals and dispersing the resulting moisture.
On a regular basis, add one ounce of Sea Foam to your fuel tank for every gallon of diesel fuel. This will remove moisture, clean fuel lines and injector pumps, and add lubricity to your fuel.
Cleaning Oil Varnish Residues From the Crank Case
To clean built-up oil residues and contamination from the crank case, add 1½ oz. Sea Foam to each quart of engine oil. Sea Foam will slowly re-liquefy residues and suspend contaminants for easy removal. Remember to change oil and filter when they become dirty.
Cleaning Lifters and Oil Rings
To clean oil rings and lifters, add 1½ oz. Sea Foam to each quart of oil.
Sea Foam will slowly re-liquefy the old oil varnish residue that builds up on lifters, rings and PCV valve systems that prevent them from functioning normally. This process can be done as part of a pre service cleaning by adding the Sea Foam to the oil at least 30 miles before the next oil change interval. OR it can be done as a preventative maintenance process without changing the oil. You can leave Sea Foam in the oil indefinitely as long as the oil is clean. The addition of a high-detergent oil like Sea Foam may cause the oil to become dirty faster than normal as built up oil residue and contamination are cleaned. Check the oil and filter at regular intervals and change when dirty. Results of this procedure may include increased vacuum, RPM's and compression.
Cleaning and Lubricating Diesel Fuel Injectors
To clean and lubricate diesel fuel injectors and pumps, prime the engine’s primary fuel filter with Sea Foam instead of Diesel fuel.
The engine will run on straight Sea Foam. Sea Foam will slowly re-liquefy the old fuel varnish residue deposits that block the fuel injector’s passages. Cleaning these passages will return the injector’s spray patterns to factory spec. Injectors can also be cleaned by adding 1 oz. of sea Foam to each gallon of Diesel fuel.
Begin by removing the cover to expose the fuel filter canister
Remove the fuel filter canister cap
Carefully remove the fuel filter…
Use absorbent towels to soak up any remaining fuel in the canister
Now fill the canister with Sea Foam and replace the fuel filter. Make certain the filter is fully primed with Sea Foam to avoid creating an air lock.
Reattach the canister cover and close up the top of the unit.
Start the engine. The diesel engine can run on pure Sea Foam. As Sea Foam liquefies the varnish and fuel residue in the injectors and cylinders, white clouds of exhaust will be emitted for a few minutes.
Adding Lubricity to Low and Ultra Low Sulfur Fuels
To add lubricity to low and ultra low sulfur diesel fuels, add 1 oz. Sea Foam to each gallon of fuel. Sea Foam is a 100% petroleum product that will significantly increase the fuel’s lubricating properties.
