Hey! you have your tach on the steering column! How does that work out for you? Do you have another pic of the view through the steering wheel webbing? I am using the stock steering wheel because it is bigger for the manual steering that I have, so I have a big window.

I'll be cleaning up the install this winter, but this is how I got it together in a hurry.

What style AutoMeters are those? And how much did you give for all of them if you don't mind me asking?

I have a cheap set of SunPro's in my custom made cluster...but I'm not really liking the look of it. Plus, I still need to cut another hole and add a fuel gauge and get the gauge lights working, so I might just try a route just like you did.

I noticed that you have the exact same tach as I do. I was wondering if you had a picture threw the steering wheel web that shows how the tach was mounted so I could see it.

I'm having a rough time trying to figure out how to mount my tach to my steering column (finding a good spot for it to be mounted so it's not in the way too much).

Ive got my tach on the steering wheel.

My three set up is to the right of the ash tray under the dash. It just clears the shifter.

Hey i dont have another through the stearing wheel shot of my guages and tach but this pic may work. I have my tach held to the plastic cover lower on the stearing column with a big hose clamp its not perfect but it works. My guages are the american platinum street rod guage set . I have the electronic guages not the mechanical guages. Even my speedometer has a senser in the transfer case.

I just got my gauges in the mail today. I am doing my gauge set up just like you have it...minus the tach and it will be mechanical. How did you do your wiring for your lights. I am good with electrical theory, but have not practiced parallel wiring. Do you have any pointers?

Ah yeah, thats what I am looking for. I like it, stays in view without obstructing any gauges. cool!

Man you have a great looking interior! I like the gray theme going on with blue accent. I think I am going to go with a tach on the left of the column and a wide band on the right of the column. Then I'll fun some of the others down below, probably Fuel pressure, oil temp, and coolant temp. I don't think i need a pyro AND a wideband. Almost redundant, but I do trust pyrometer sensor better than a wideband sensor in the hot exhaust!...

The way i wired my gauge and guage lights. i turned over my original instrument clusterand traced the circutboard on the back and looked at the coresponding wires in the harness and then i spliced them for my new gauges and turn signal lights. Thats the easiest way i found to do it. and it takes out the guess work. I hope i helped.

Cool idea. May look into it with a few i may add later.

Here's the instrument panel for the F100 when it goes back together. I used a period look Sunpro tach and a couple of Autometers in a home made radio block off plate. The plate uses the factory autometer u-clamps and locks the whole thing in place from behind for a clean screw-free look. The CD player is going in the overhead console.

Thank you for the advice, I will do just that. I will just splice into my old harness.
