Coolness

Everytime I jump in my truck I find something else cool - hit the +/- button on the stalk next time you are in (D)drive. Now you can glance down and see what gear you are in at any moments notice. The tranny is still in full auto mode but you can see it change as well as feel it change now.

Just had to run out to my truck and try it... that is way too cool... Also lets you learn the trucks shift pattern....

Let's say for some reason the driving conditions has you gear hooping between 5th and 6th. While you're in drive just hit the - side and take 6th out. Hit it again and you'll take 5th out, etc.

Yeah it is really slick - I live at around 500 metres and the valley of my city is at about around 340 metres so up and down the hill a lot. Being able to drop the gears on the tranny at will without having to shift the actual lever is awesome.
