Radiator Fluid All Over?

Hopefully someone has a idea. I have a 01 excursion with the 7.2 motor I towed a boat over the week to a lake up in the hills got home and this morning noticed radiator fluid everywhere under my excursion only on the truck itself not on the ground. Figured I had a leak. Could not find one so I added fluid it was about a inch below min. mark filled it up and started it. Took it to the car wash and washed the under carriage and drove home looked for a leak again nothing. I let it cool and looked again nothing.

The only thing I can think happened is my turdo over heated towing this boat up the hills and it released pressure. Can this happen? Spoke to a friend and he said his f250 with the same diesel did it once in a while when he towed a boat in the heat.

Any advise would be great before I go spend a fortune at the dealer.

Justin

Your motor is a 7.3. More than likely it just puked some coolant because of the heat.

Did you notice the temp guage? What about the clutch fan? Did it engage?

If your 7.3 is like mine, it will puke coolant out if you actually fill the bottle to the hot mark. I always let mine run alittle low. Having said that, since you found coolant under the truck after it was parked, if you cannot localize a loose or ruptured hose, there is a good possibility that your water pump is failing - it will pee out coolant - if it is making noise while running best to have it checked before you go anywhere
