The 1987-1993 F-Series have the typical chrome wheel well molding. The 1994+ have a rubber sealer behind that molding, and you can only see the very top of it.
My question is, is that an entirely different molding or can you purchase the rubber behind it and add it to the older-style moldings?
i think they change in 94 cuz my 93 doesnt have that rubber strip but my dads 95 does. why did they do it? i want the ribber stripe instead of what i have cuz it looks cleaner and looks like it protects better.
That's exactly what I'm thinking too, I have a couple of dents on the upper right side of my truck. Instead of fixing them , I'm going to attempt to hide em.
I think it's possible to find some rubber and make your own. We'll see...
