Hopefully someone has a idea. I have a 01 excursion with the 7.3 motor I towed a boat over the week to a lake up in the hills got home and this morning noticed radiator fluid everywhere under my excursion only on the truck itself not on the ground or the top half of the engin. Figured I had a leak. Could not find one so I added fluid it was about a inch below min. mark filled it up and started it. Took it to the car wash and washed the under carriage and drove home looked for a leak again nothing. I let it cool and looked again nothing.
The only thing I can think happened is my turdo over heated towing this boat up the hills and it released pressure. Can this happen? Spoke to a friend and he said his f250 with the same diesel did it once in a while when he towed a boat in the heat.
Any advise would be great before I go spend a fortune at the dealer.
Get a new radiator cap for starters. Excess heat causes excess coolant pressure and the cap may just leak a small amount and hen the fan blows it all over.
And if you have not yet been welcomed to WELCOME Justin.
