I am going to be repainting my stock wheels in a day or so and need to know what color white they are. They seem to be some type of off-white, but I can't be sure due to the rust. The wheels are for a 64 F100 Custom Cab. If someone could help me with the paint name that would be great.
Bill,
that's correct, my truck is yellow, "spring time yellow". So would the original wheels be the same color ?..Thanks, sorry for all the questions..Joe
Argent wheels were not introduced until 1970, 1961/69 wheels were either white or black.
This 1966 F100 has "outie" wheels and hubcaps. The 15" trim rings were a dealer installed accessory or available at the parts counter.
This style of trim ring was first offered in 1942 (1942/48) on Mercury Passenger Cars which came with 15" wheels. 1942/48 Ford Passenger Cars came with 16" wheels.
My '65 came to me with 16" rims and the weight rating painted on the bed was "6000 GVW" It had 2 innie cap rims and 3 outtie cap rims. Which would be correct for optional 16" rims?
