Rough Idle - P0263
Getting a P0263 #1 cyl contribution/balance code on my '05. Most times the code/problem can be cleared by restarting.
When this condition exists, rough idle with little smoke and no loss of power. Most times I can restart and the truck will run fine.
Checked the FICM - okay as far as voltage. Any thoughts ?

Probably a spool valve in the injector. You might try an oil change earlier than schedueled with some Hot Shot Secret or some Rev-X, but eventually you'll have to change it. It restarts good because it's warm. Mine was doing the exact same thing. Changed the injector--problem solved.

Thanks for the reply npsspartsman. I did just change the oil after less than 2k which seemed to help but only for short period. I'm glad you mentioned it because it does have a hard to start issue so it sounds like it is related.
Anyone have experience using rebuilt injectors ? Recommend ??
Bit new, how are the cylinders numbered on these 6.0's ? Is #1 on the passenger side closest to the firewall ?

Passenger side front to back 1-3-5-7 Drivers side front to back 2-4-6-8
You can get injectors from Tousley ford for about $205 + 180 core. Those are Ford reman's or you can shop Ebay, but the only way I would go is "new" from Ford. At least you get a good guarantee.
