P0263 2003 6.0
Hey all,
I just got this 6.0 a few weeks ago. Running perfect until last night. No engine light but throwing code P0263 for cylinder 1. Does that mean I need an injector? Truck has an egr delete and all oil and filters changed about 2 weeks ago. It idles rough, shakes a lot. Loss of power. While on the highway of it goes into od or the rpms drop it starts bucking like crazy. Any ideas? could it be a blown head although I'm not lossing any coolant. Any tips would be great.

sounds like you may need an injector or 2. Are you getting excessive black/grey smoke or any blue/white smoke out of the tailpipe while idling or running?
This doesn't sound like a blown head gasket to me, unless you are getting white smoke under load or the degas bottle has spewed coolant. It would show up as white, chaulky residue.
If you take it to a mechanic, have them check cylinder contribution to determine the health of the injectors. It may not be a bad idea to have them check the compression while they have the valve cover(s) off if they are replacing injectors.
